Easy 30-Day Return Policy
If you are dissatisfied with your purchase of PPE, a MixPre II Series, or a MixPre II Series accessory product for any reason, you may return it to Sound Devices within 30 days of the purchase date, subject to the conditions and exclusions below. Sales of legacy products (products that are officially discontinued), b-stock products, and plugins are final and cannot be refunded. Please note that after a plugin is installed on a MixPre or 8-Series, it cannot be removed or transferred.
If the original item included any accessories, all accessories must be returned for a full refund.
- Start the Return Process
Contact Sound Devices support by emailing [email protected] or calling 1-800-505-0625. When contacting support, provide your order number. You can find your order number on your store account under the “Orders” tab or in your order confirmation email. You will receive an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) from our support staff.
- Pack Your Item Properly
Place your item and any additional items or accessories back into the original packaging. Place it and your invoice into an outer shipping box. Be sure to pack it properly so your item won’t get damaged.
- Ship Your Item
Write the RMA and Sound Devices return address on your package. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. Sound Devices recommends shipping via insured ground service with a tracking number. Sound Devices is not responsible for lost packages.

Please read the conditions below. If all conditions are not met, Sound Devices reserves the right to refuse the return or to charge a minimum 15% restocking fee. All returned items must be in new condition, in their original unaltered box (including an intact UPC code) and must include all packing material, paper inserts, accompanying items and accessories. The retail value of any items you keep will be deducted from your reimbursement total. Sound Devices can only refund the original purchase price. Shipping and handling fees are nonrefundable.
Defective or Damaged Items
Defective items may be repaired, exchanged or refunded at our discretion for the same model or manufacturer’s equivalent model.
Refunds & Credits
Once we receive and inspect your item(s), we will credit your account. Please allow 5-7 days for a credit to appear on your account. In most cases, we will issue your refund in the same way you made the original purchase. Please note: we can only refund the original purchase price. Shipping and handling fees are nonrefundable.
Sound Devices is not responsible for personal data or items left in returned merchandise. Sound Devices is not responsible for any consequential or incidental damage resulting from the sale or use of any merchandise bought from us. We are responsible for the monetary value of the merchandise only. Also, claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be received within two business days of receipt of merchandise.
